However, we enjoyed the spa very much and would recommend it to our friends.Las Vegas (Spanish for "The Meadows"), officially the City of Las Vegas and often known simply as Vegas, is the 28th-most populated city in the United States, the most populated city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County. We did not take advantage of the mini restaurant serving Korean dishes upstairs, or any of the additional services like massages or facials. I then met my wife and we left refreshed after about two hours at the spa. The locker rooms were spacious and modern. After a few minutes's steam, I hit the showers and changed back into my street clothes. Afterward, we separated and went downstairs to the segregated, "wet area." The men's side had a warm (not hot) whirlpool, a cold pool, a steam sauna, an herbal steam sauna, a dry sauna, and a salt dry sauna. We did enjoy the three rooms, though, especially the clay balls which were so comfortable I nearly fell asleep. There were a couple other rooms upstairs but they didn't really serve much purpose. The upstairs floor really consisted of just the Red Clay room with little hot caves and infrared light to lie in, the Red Clay Ball room with shallow tubs of warm clay balls to lie in, and the Ice Room. However, it seemed like the spa could have added a couple more things to their rooms. The spa was relatively empty so we really had our run of the place and never had to wait for any of the facilities. Then, my wife and I were left to wander and explore the first floor separately (gender segregated) and the second floor together (co-ed), which we enjoyed. We were greeted promptly at the front desk and the receptionist answered all our questions to our satisfaction.

However, I can say that Imperial was very clean and the staff were very professional and friendly. My impression is that this place gets little male traffic and completely neglects that side as of late.īefore going to Imperial Spa in Las Vegas, I had never been to a spa before so I don't have anything to compare it to. FWIW my wife said the ladies side was mostly problem free. I can look over only giving guests one towel (you have to walk out to the lobby to ask for another, complete joke), broken towel hooks, a dismal common area (TVs we're off, no music), broken soap dispensers, but this made for one of the worst Korean style spa visits ever having gone to several in Korea and in the US (including this one about a year ago). The other was filled but was still like warm. When I went down stairs again there were still uniformed men walking around the baths. I spent an ~30 minutes in the common area reading bad reviews of Imperial Spa. I took a shower and went into the one operational sauna. Someone in the lobby corner said they were the health inspector and "finishing up." None of this was communicated to me when checking in 5 minutes earlier. I walked back to the lobby to ask if the baths/saunas were closed and the staff seemed completely oblivious to any issue. A power tool wirred so where out of site and a door to the outside was open. Walked in to men's baths and one was completely unfilled, another was 1/4 filled with a hose in it. The restaurant is fairly expensive.Ībsolutely abysmal. Upstairs the Red Clay Balls (which was the main purpose of going) weren't heated at all but the jade gravel toward the back of the room was heated properly. The health department tagged it closed in December 2018, and it's almost March. The cold plunge was tagged as 'closed by order of the health department' but it was still filled with water and people were soaking in it anyway. Several of the showers were broken, most of the hooks to hang towels on in the shower area were also broken. Many of the shampoo/shower gel containers were broken or missing. I mean if they're not enforcing a rule at all why bother posting the signs? The place was relatively clean, I have no issues with that, but functionality is a different story. Then they supposedly instituted a rule saying swimsuits required in the steam room, but all those guys were naked in the steam room anyway. From what i can tell they moved almost all of the furniture out of the mens section so there's no reason to loiter there any more. A few years ago they resorted to posting signs about the law. I witnessed several incidents of men doing sex acts in the steamroom which was easily noticeable from the jacuzzi. I used to LOVE this place but the mens section has turned into little more than a gay sex place.
